Tri-County Ambulance District - In the Community
Tri-County Ambulance District management and personnel believe in being "good citizens." We go above and beyond doing the important job of providing emergency medical services - we appreciate and seize opportunities to educate and interact with the public. We work with our local fire departments and other community organizations when there is a community event or festival, benefit fundraiser or other such event. Watch for us in parades. Stop by and visit with our crews while we're standing by at local football games and other sporting events.
We often visit with preschools, children's church groups, day care facilities and Scout groups to provide educational show-and-tell sessions. These include a talk on age-appropriate safety or health topics, and a "tour" of the ambulance, inside and out. We believe these can help minimize fear and anxiety, in case the children or someone they care about ever need to be transported by ambulance.
To arrange for a standby for your sporting or other public event, or to set up a show-and-tell visit from one of our crews, call the executive director during regular business hours.
